Planning Aid England offers planning advice and support to individuals and communities. Planning Aid England (PAE) is part of the RTPI. Launched in 1973, PAE is built on the principle that that everyone should have access to the planning system, regardless of their ability to pay. You can find out more information below.
Separately, the RTPI's Directory of Planning Consultants is used by individuals looking to engage a planning consultant. The Directory lists only Chartered Members or Legal Associates of the RTPI active in the United Kingdom who have chosen to list themselves in the Directory on a commercial basis.
Planning Aid Scotland, Planning Aid Wales and Planning Aid for London exist as separate charities delivering services in Scotland, Wales and London respectively. In Northern Ireland the not-for-profit organisation Community Places provides free planning advice. For further details visit our Contact page.
