“The number of quality of entries this year, across all categories, continues to represent the vibrancy and diversity of opportunities and challenges facing the South West Region. The creative reuse of heritage assets featured in many of the projects with good examples of innovative approaches involving both processes and sensitive interventions. In terms of Plans and initiatives, responses to societal challenges as well focused evidence-based plans stood out, with a healthy degree of collaboration between authorities, agencies and stakeholders.  Site visits across the region enabled the Judging Panel to engage in detailed discussions where the passion and professionalism of entrants helped to inform our decisions. We thank all those who invested their time in preparing submissions and look forward to celebrating Planning Excellence across the Region at the Awards Ceremony on the 25th June”.
