End Point Assessment Appeals Policy
The RTPI manages a robust End Point Assessment (EPA) process for the Chartered Town Planner apprenticeship and wants to ensure that apprentices undergo fair and reliable assessment. We take several steps to ensure applications are assessed to a high standard, however, if an apprentice feels that the correct procedure has not been followed, you have the right to appeal.
This appeals policy applies to apprentices completing the Chartered Town Planner apprenticeship EPA only.
Professional Discussion
You have the right to appeal if you feel that the Professional Discussion was not conducted properly, or you were treated unfairly. Appeals relating to the Professional Discussion must be made within 21 days of the result being issued. If you are considering an appeal, we advise that you discuss this with your employer before emailing the Head of Professional Development & Education at [email protected] clearly stating the grounds for appeal.
Before making an appeal in relation to the Professional Discussion, apprentices are encouraged to contact the Education Team to discuss their circumstances. The Education Team can be contacted on 44(0) 7929 1411 or [email protected]
