The RTPI North East Regional Management Board is delighted to offer student awards to those studying planning at Newcastle University.
We are proud to present two distinct awards. The first recognises the most outstanding piece of work with a North East focus and is awarded twice a year to both undergraduate and postgraduate students. The second award is presented for achieving the highest overall score in the final year of the Master of Planning and MSc Urban Planning programmes. All submissions are judged by lecturers at Newcastle University.
The award for the most outstanding piece of work may be presented to an individual student or to a group of students who have collaborated on a project.
We were pleased to meet the winning students and present them with their well-deserved certificates at our Committee meetings. Prize money was issued separately.

- Jasmine Jones (UG) – the highest achieving student on the final year of the Master of Planning
- Sydney Whitside - the highest achieving student on the final year of the MSc Urban Planning
