With social distancing guidelines set to continue for the foreseeable future, the Royal Town Planning Institute is delighted to launch RTPI Online Events 2021.
The new events programme is a series of cutting-edge webinars about planning, free for all members, which will replace the Institute’s current regional and national webinar programmes.
RTPI Online Events 2021 is scheduled to run for the first six months of the year and will focus on some of the most pressing topics in the planning profession, including climate change, diversity, design, health, regeneration, infrastructure and digital planning.
The programme will address the key questions planners need to ask to successfully tackle the challenges brought about by Covid-19 at local, national and international levels.
Non-members will also be able to attend webinars in RTPI Online Events 2021 – tickets cost £25.
RTPI Chief Executive Victoria Hills said:
"There’s no doubt that 2020 has been a year of extraordinary change, and the RTPI has taken the opportunity to embrace these changes by transforming its digital operations to support members in their careers and provide great value for money.

The RTPI knows that members place great value on being part of a national or regional network, and the RTPI’s regions and nations around the UK will continue to organise an extensive range of social events.
In 2021, the RTPI will also deliver a number of full-day online conferences, including two editions of the Institute’s flagship event The Planner Live for England and one each for Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland.
As part of the enhanced package to members, there will also be a continued focus on CPD, through RTPI Training’s online masterclasses and a range of free bite-sized modules on the recently-relaunched RTPI Learn.
