Entries open for RTPI Awards for Planning Excellence 2024

The Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) has opened entries for the 47th Awards for Planning Excellence, showcasing and celebrating the best plans, people and projects.

The entry process for this year’s awards, which stretch across 15 award categories, has been streamlined even further. Now, entrants simply select their best work completed between 2022 and 2023 and complete their submission on the RTPI’s online application platform. The deadline for entries is 15 March 2024.

Shortlisted entries will be put through for judging in the national awards and will be judged against the others in their selected categories for the national finalist list. The remaining five categories are also judged to complete the national finalist list of 15 categories. The winners and commendations are announced at the national ceremony in November.

In commitment to continually improving the RTPI Awards for Planning Excellence, for 2024 the RTPI has improved its branding and streamlined its communications, offering more promotional support opportunities to entrants.

Victoria Hills, Chief Executive of the RTPI said: "Each year the RTPI acknowledges and celebrates the best in our profession by awarding the valuable contributions made by planning professionals in the communities they serve.

“Planning professionals play a vital role in creating sustainable communities, and the RTPI Awards for Planning Excellence aims to recognise and highlight the most outstanding plans, people, and projects that have made a significant difference."

The RTPI Awards for Planning Excellence continue to recognise and reward the brightest talent in the profession; the most outstanding projects, teams and people helping to transform economies, environments, and communities. Celebrate your professional achievements and showcase your work by entering now.
