To mark the occasion of the Coronation of His Majesty The King and Her Majesty The Queen Consort we are delighted to share this special overview of last year’s winners and commended entries from the RTPI Awards for Planning Excellence.
Every year, we invite planners and their colleagues in the built environment to submit their finest recently completed work across 15 categories focusing on plans, projects and people. Experts across the planning profession are invited to assess all of the entries and recognise best practice through a rigorous judging process which starts in our Nations and Regions. Our specially produced brochure highlights some of the winners and commended entries from 2022.
The brochure is introduced by RTPI President Susan Bridge FRTPI who said: "To mark the occasion of the Coronation of His Majesty The King and Her Majesty The Queen Consort on 6 May 2023, it gives me great pleasure to share an overview of last year’s winners and commended entries from the RTPI Awards for Planning Excellence. Last year’s winners have demonstrated exceptional innovation, creativity and dedication to creating sustainable and healthy places that enhance the quality of life for local communities and the next generation."
Susan also highlights some of the other work the RTPI has been doing to show the intrinsic value of planning including Planning for Tomorrow’s Environment, a digital series exploring the intrinsic role of planning in tackling climate change and paving the way to a sustainable future, and Planning Your World, a public website dedicated to the extraordinary work town planners undertake.
Throughout the year she will be visiting planners from across the UK and Ireland meeting some of the planners and other built environment professionals who were instrumental in the projects that won the regional and national planning awards.
