Ahead of the Net-Zero, Energy and Transport Committee parliamentary debate on Tuesday 14 March, on ‘The Role of Local Government and its Cross-sectoral Partners in Financing and Delivery a Net-zero Scotland’, RTPI Scotland is sharing a briefing with all MSPs to inform them of our views on the committee report.

- The need to adequately resource the planning service to successful achieve net-zero targets and delivery of NPF4 with its increased future demands on local authorities.
- The potential of a planning apprenticeship scheme in Scotland to increase more accessible training routes into the profession and meet the growing demand for future planners in Scotland.
