The Planner magazine has launched its annual survey of planning careers, with an emphasis on wellbeing in the planning workplace and the treatment of planners in their work.
The 2023 Planner Jobs Careers Survey, open to RTPI members only, delves into career progress, wellbeing, remote working and changing skills requirements with the aim of building a picture of the state of the contemporary planning workplace.
In doing so, it aims also to build on the findings of RTPI Cymru’s own survey that underpinned the recently released Big Conversation report that offered a "health check" of planners and planning in Wales.
The Planner’s survey, which will take around 15 minutes to complete, will build a picture of the state of the planning profession across the UK. The survey asks about:
- career progress and development including salary, training opportunities, team dynamic and resources
- feelings about remote working and its effects on the way planners work
- stresses created by workload, resources, specialist skills requirements and the way people talk about planning and planners
- the challenges facing planners in the coming year.
Entrants will be placed into a prize draw. Results will be reported in the March /April issue of The Planner magazine and on The Planner website.
