Past members can re-join the RTPI at their previous membership class at any time. Retired Members who are transitioning back to planning employment can also revert to their previous class of membership.

If you are reinstating as a Chartered Member, Chartered Fellow, Legal Member, Legal Associate or Associate you are required to evidence compliance with Continuing Professional Development (CPD) regulations if your membership lapsed more than 12 months prior to reinstatement, see Reinstatement Guidance.
If your membership lapsed within the previous 12 months, you do not need to provide evidence of CPD.
If you are reinstating to Student, Licentiate, Affiliate, Retired membership you do not provide evidence of CPD.

The annual membership subscription fees to maintain your membership are listed here. A confirmation of fees notice will be issued to you once you have joined and will be pro rated based on the month you join.
