Welcome to the RTPI’s Levelling Up Hub: a collection of our latest insights, research, and policy positions. These demonstrate how planners turn ambitions to level up into real projects that provide homes, encourage inward investment and enable community life.
Planners have a unique, strategic overview of their place: they ensure that residents and businesses can access public services and infrastructure by co-ordinating investment in health, education, transport and the local economy. However, planner’s ability to bring communities together and underpin public services depends on sufficient funding, coherent policy and support at all levels of government.
This resource will be updated regularly to help our profession and policymakers understand the potential impact, opportunities and challenges in new legislation on England’s planning system.
