Imogen is a Development Planner working across Hallam Land's South West patch where she identifies, disposes and acquires development opportunities and promotes development schemes through the planning process. Prior to joining Hallam in 2023, Imogen worked as a planning consultant.
This will be Imogen's third year as Chair and she really looks forward to continuing her role of leading the Committee through 2024.

Nia is a Planner at Arup, working on a range of projects including leisure schemes, flood risk management schemes and infrastructure projects across Wales and England. Nia completed her MSc in Spatial Planning and Development in 2020 and became a chartered planner in 2022. She has also volunteered for Planning Aid Wales since 2019, where she enjoys helping individuals, small businesses or charities needing advice on matters including responding to planning applications. In her spare time, Nia enjoys running, reading and exploring new places!

Leo is a Planner at Stantec working within their Wales & South-West team. Leo completed his studies for a Spatial Planning and Development MSc degree at Cardiff University in 2022, whilst working part time at a planning consultancy. Prior to completing his BSc in Geography and Town Planning at Cardiff University Leo completed a placement year at Cardiff City Council. At Stantec, Leo’s work consists of drafting local plan representations for residential developments, assisting colleagues during the PAC process and preparing and submitting application submission for energy projects across Wales.

Matt is a Planner at Arup and is currently completing his Urban Planning Masters at UWE, following completion of his undergraduate degree in Geography (Human) at Cardiff University. In his role at Arup, Matt works on a broad range of projects relating to Development Management and Community and Stakeholder Engagement within Planning. Outside of work, Matt enjoys playing football and exploring new places!

Annabelle is a Planner working across Boyer’s Cardiff and Bristol offices. Prior to joining Boyer, Annabelle completed her BSc Human Geography and Planning at Cardiff University, through which she completed a 14-month placement working in Development Management. Using this experience, Annabelle applies and continuously develops her knowledge on projects across Wales and the South-West including residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments. Annabelle has experience in co-ordinating and project managing planning applications, land promotions, and appeals. Annabelle is an Associate member of the RTPI.

Clodagh is a Principal Planner at CarneySweeney’s Cardiff office and is a chartered member of the RTPI. She works on projects across a broad range of sectors including residential, retail, commercial and renewable energy in both Wales and England.
Clodagh has previously worked at other Cardiff-based planning consultancies and obtained a MSc in Spatial Planning and Development from Cardiff University in 2019.
In her role as Events Co-ordinator on the YPC committee, Clodagh looks forward to organising and attending a variety of CPD and social events this year.

Gemma is an Assistant Planner at RPS having joined as a graduate in September 2021. Prior to joining RPS, Gemma completed a MSc in Spatial Planning at Cardiff University after studying Geography and Planning at University of the West of England. She is a Licentiate member of the RTPI and is gearing up to submit her chartership this spring.
Gemma's work consists of assisting on renewable energy infastructure applications, along with supporting retail developments, whilst helping to run the pre-application consultation process within her team.

Lucy is a Graduate Planner working at the RPS Cardiff office, having joined the graduate scheme in October 2022. Day to day, she assists on planning consents for infrastructure, renewable energy schemes and Welsh Developments of National Significance.
Lucy has an MSc degree in Spatial Planning and Development as well as a BSc in Human Geography from Cardiff University. She is a Licentiate member of the RTPI and a new face to the YPC committee this year.

Alice is a Planner at Savills in Cardiff and has worked on a variety of projects across the UK, including renewable energy schemes, data centres, sports stadium, and large mixed-use sites. She is a Licentiate member of the RTPI and has recently submitted her application to become a Chartered Planner. Alice studied BA Geography and Planning at UWE Bristol, and has an MSc in Spatial Planning and Development from Cardiff University. Outside of work, Alice enjoys going on walks across South Wales with her borrowed dog called Toby, cooking, and going to festivals and live music events.

Heulwen is a Planner at Arup in Cardiff and works on a broad range of projects within policy and development management. She has recently completed her MSc in Town planning at University of the West of England and also holds an undergraduate degree in Urban Planning and Development from Cardiff University. Going down the apprenticeship route, Heulwen is currently in the process of working towards chartership.

Sarah works for Pobl Homes as a Land and Planning Assistant. She sits in the Central Development Team and her main role involves securing new immediate and forward land opportunities. Pobl is the largest affordable housing provider in Wales and is focused on the delivery of mixed tenure developments with community and placemaking principles at its centre.
Sarah has an MSc from Cardiff University in Spatial Planning and Development. She is a Licentiate member and currently working towards her APC.
As well as being a General Member for Young Planners Cymru, Sarah is the Licentiate representative for the RTPI Cymru committee.

Abbie is a Planner currently working at Lichfields in Cardiff and has been involved in a range of projects across Wales and England. She is a Licentiate member of the RTPI and is in the process of working towards chartership. Abbie completed her BSc in City and Regional Planning and MSc in Urban and Regional Development at Cardiff University. Abbie is a photography and travel enthusiast.

Lleucu is a third-year undergraduate student at Cardiff University studying Human Geography and Planning (BSc) and is currently undertaking a Placement year at Savills with the Cardiff Planning Team. Her degree is a 4-year sandwich course, which is partially accredited by the RTPI.
