"I’m Nia Roberts, Co-Chair of Young Planners Cymru for 2025, following a year as the Vice Chair in 2024. I am a Planner at Arup’s West Town Planning Team, working across both Wales and England. I work on a range of projects including leisure, flood risk management and infrastructure, and have experience within Development Management and Planning Policy. I completed my MSc in Spatial Planning and Development at Cardiff University in 2020 and became a chartered planner in 2023 (through the licentiate route).
"I’m Alice Gardner, Co-Chair of Young Planners Cymru for 2025. I am a Planner at Savills in Cardiff, and I work on a variety of projects across the UK, including renewable energy schemes, data centres, sports stadium, and large mixed-use sites. I studied BA Geography and Planning at UWE Bristol and have an MSc in Spatial Planning and Development from Cardiff University. I became a chartered town planner in February 2024.
Together, we’re excited to provide opportunities for young planners in Wales to engage with each other through CPD, professional networking and social events. We’re a welcoming, active and diverse group, who are keen to create a space for like-minded planners to grow and develop, both professionally and personally. Our network is free to sign up to and has been developed to support planners who have been working in the profession for up to 10 years (post qualification)."
