Engage, network and discover more with Young Planners Cymru - The RTPI's network to support young planners in their personal and professional development in Wales.

“I’m Imogen Holgate, Chair of Young Planners Cymru. I am a Development Planner at Hallam Land Management . I previously worked for planning consultancy Boyer, whom I joined in 2020 upon finishing my BSc in Urban Planning and Development at Cardiff University.

Our network provides support with personal and professional development to planners who have recently entered the profession. Older planners are welcome too – you just need to have less than 10 years’ post qualification experience.

We’re an active and diverse group, and provide opportunities from everything from CPD, to professional networking and socials. It’s free to sign up, and you don’t even need to be a member of the RTPI.”

If you have any questions or would keep up to date with our news and events you can contact us by emailing [email protected].

We’re also on social media, find us on Twitter: YPCymru and Facebook: Young Planners Cymru.

Am I a 'young planner'?

A young planner is any student, licentiate or corporate member of the RTPI with up to 10 years' experience post-qualification.
