We are currently welcoming applications for the RTPI Cymru Policy and Research Forum (2025-2026)

Closing date for applications: 5pm, Monday 14 October 2024

Support RTPI Cymru in developing and promoting planning policy, practice and research in Wales by applying to join the next RTPI Cymru Policy and Research Forum.

It is a busy and interesting time for planning in Wales and with so much on the agenda, there has never been a better time to get involved with your professional body.  We are inviting RTPI Chartered, Fellow and Associate members from across Wales to get involved.

RTPI Cymru's Policy and Research Forum plays a key role in the work of RTPI Cymru, including:

•       Supporting the development of RTPI Cymru planning and related policy positions, including advising on responses to consultations;

•       Contributing to establishing RTPI Cymru positions;

•       Promoting the use of research, evidence and the good practice of planning across Wales.

We welcome applications from Chartered, Fellow and Associate members from across Wales who have an interest and experience in planning policy and practice issues in Wales.  We encourage applications from members from diverse backgrounds and sectors.  Different experiences and views are essential for generating ideas and holding effective discussion.

Being a member of the Policy and Research Forum provides the opportunity to:

•       Develop and share individual views;

•       Form professional friendships;

•       Contribute to your own continuing professional development (CPD).

Much of the Forum’s work is carried out via email, with the majority of our work taking place between meetings.  Forum members are required to join around four meetings per year, which will be a mixture of online and face to face.

Applications must be submitted by 5.00 pm on Monday 14 October 2024.  The application form can be filled out and submitted online here: https://forms.office.com/e/WZSqBRh4eu
