To offer immediate support to planners, either unable to reach the UK, or soon to arrive, or already in the UK, by putting them directly in touch with some of our member employers who have expressed an interest in seeing CV’s of planning professionals who are available for work
Due to the nature of certain crises/ conflicts some – planners affected are unable to travel to the UK and Ireland but still need support in finding contract work in a volatile situation. This has been the case recently in Ukraine. Similarly, some planners may be looking to move to the UK, or may have already arrived and are keen to find work as soon as practically possible.
The RTPI can arrange to share displaced planners’ CV to potential employers on a bespoke, informal and voluntary basis, without any commitment being made on either side. Any interest can be made via [email protected].

To offer support to displaced planners who have arrived in the UK, as life in a new country can be challenging. There are a number of organisations that offer support to adjust to life in the UK as well as supporting refugees into employment.
The RTPI has linked with other organisations based in the UK who specialise in offering support to displaced individuals who are currently in the UK and have permission to work.
