Abigail Upton is a Planning Consultant striving to encourage young people into planning and to help connect other young professionals in the wider community. She currently works at DLP Planning Ltd based in Sheffield. There Abigail is responsible for helping to deliver projects all over Yorkshire and England.
Alongside employment Abigail is Vice Chair of RTPI Young Planners Yorkshire and is the Chair of Young Entrepreneurs in Property for Sheffield. Within the Young Planners group Abigail works alongside members on a podcast and through her role as Chair of Young Entrepreneurs in Property, she has successfully launched the Sheffield Chapter. -
Ciara is a dynamic and committed individual, currently in her 3rd year at Leeds Beckett University studying Human Geography and Planning.
Ciara is the course representative for Human Geography and planning for her course as well as the treasurer for the Geography Society, both positions she has held for 3 years. Ciara is also part of the volunteering scheme at her university, part of the Green Impact Team and is the Leeds Beckett University representative for the Royal Town Planning Institute.
She currently works in the retail industry as a customer consultant for an ethically and environmentally conscious company to financially support herself whilst at university.

Harriet is a highly skilled and motivated young planner who positively promotes the planning profession in her role working for a busy Local Planning Authority. Harriet has gained 4.5 years of experience working within local authority planning policy and development management teams since qualifying with a first-class honours degree in Urban Planning (BA) from Newcastle University.
She started her career as a Planning Officer at the Yorkshire Dales National Park where she dealt with multiple planning applications varying in size, type and complexity. Following a year of this, she then started as a Planning Policy Officer at Richmondshire District Council which through this role she has been involved in the review of the Local Plan and the relevant stages of consultation.
At the start of February 2022 she moved back over into development management at RDC. Harriet has gained a clear and thorough understanding of planning policy and the planning system through the nature of her roles and has become a valued multi-skilled planner.
