Luston Wetland and submitted by Phosphate Credit Trading Scheme - Herefordshire Council

The judges’ comments:

Judges described Luston Wetland as a truly pioneering scheme demonstrating the collaboration of multiple stakeholders, tackling the issue of nutrient phosphate pollution and unlocking stalled housing projects in River Lugg catchment which can be an excellent lesson learnt for other parts of the UK.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Young Planner of the Year

Frances Keenan 

The judges’ comments:
Frances’s passion for planning and becoming
an ambassador for Young Planners was evident. All judges were impressed by her achievements and commitment to inspiring others to enter the profession. She is a well-rounded planner who is growing in confidence and her ability to deliver planning outcomes. Her role within RTPI West Midlands has allowed her to push the boundaries through her partnership with the Grace Foundation and her ongoing engagement with schools, universities, and colleges in the West

Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council 

The judges’ comments:
Despite significant challenges, through teamwork, dedication, and innovation, Sandwell’s Planning Team should be positively applauded for levering significant levels of investment into their regeneration programme. In an era where growth is key, it is refreshing to see an LPA so aligned to a pro-investment
and pro-development strategy.
