North West Awards for Planning Excellence

North West winners selected for the national awards

Congratulations to the following North West Awards for Planning Excellence winners who have won an RTPI Awards for Planning Excellence national award:

  • Stockport Interchange - Stockport Council/Transport for Greater Manchester - Winner of the Excellence in Planning for a Successful Economy category and also the prestigious Silver Jubilee Cup.
  • West Cumbria Pipeline - Lake District NPA/United Utilities - Commended in the Excellence in Planning for the Natural Environment category.

The national RTPI Awards for Planning Excellence are the culmination of a year-long national and international programme to celebrate the very best people, plan and projects.  thanks to our entrants, supporters, judges and sponsors.

North West Awards for Planning Excellence winners

Here are the regional North West Awards for Planning Excellence winners 2024, who were announced at our Annual Dinner on 27 June at Kimpton Clocktower Hotel in Manchester.

  • Best Plan - Civic Quarter Area Action Plan, submitted by Trafford Council
  • Best Project - West Cumbria Pipeline, submitted by Lake District National Park Authority / United Utilities
  • Young Planner of the Year - Ian Pennington
  • Small Consultancy of the Year - Euan Kellie Property Solutions
  • Planning Authority of the Year - Lake District National Park Authority

The North West Awards for Planning Excellence recognise and highlight the positive contribution planning professionals make in the communities we serve around the world.
