The LPA Engage task group aims to provide low cost training that will cover some of the basic skills needed for Planning Officer's and those working in associated departments. With an ever evolving planning policy landscape and mounting local government challenges, the LPA Engage group seeks to work with Local Planning Authorities to offer tailored training, help improve working conditions and promote the perceptions of the public sector.
Current offers - available to RTPI North West Region only.
CPD Programme 2025 – 10 full day events with early bird discounted rates until the end of February. However, the discounted rates are offered to LPAs throughout the year, with no increase in cost.
LPA Training Events – In addition to the main programme above, this year we are running 3 full day events on Heritage, BNG and Enforcement aimed at LPA planners. These will be offered at substantially discounted prices of £30 +VAT for members and £45 +VAT for non members. To add to these, we are also running 3 separate full day design events. The programme for these 6 events will be released in the coming weeks.
Free CPD – We are offering 2 free places per LPA at any of the above events. Note that this generous offer is for 2025 events only and cannot be carried over into another year, so if you don’t use them you will lose them! T&Cs have been sent to all LPA heads of planning but are available upon request to Bev Watson.
Buy Now Pay Later – We understand that you may have budget restraints, or not able to book CPD until the new financial year. As our events start on Monday 3 March, we would be happy for you to place the bookings now and you can be invoiced at a date that’s convenient to your organisation.
