Head Planner of the Year, Winner - Jenifer Jackson
Jeni is Chief Planning Officer across two very distinct London Boroughs, leading, the 4th largest planning service in the country by numbers of applications received, serving a population of over half a million people. Jeni’s personal impact this year has been phenomenal. Both Councils are progressing new Local Plans.
The emerging Wandsworth Local Plan embeds placemaking through Area Strategies developed based on Jeni’s desire to see the vision for place clearly set out. For Richmond the emerging Local Plan embeds the concepts of the 15 minute neighbourhood through ‘living locally’ which Jeni presented on to the Richmond Partnership Conference.
