The Central Lincolnshire Local Plan pushes the boundaries of government policy and legislation, based on an ambition to deliver net zero carbon across the joint-planning area. It contains a suite of policies targeting energy efficient buildings, renewable energy, embodied carbon, adaptation and resilience to climate change, and more. Policies are being implemented and delivered now, whilst utilising additional technical guidance produced by consultants Bioregional and Etude. The success of the plan relied on partnerships, trust and a shared vision of planning professionals, members, and consultants to address climate change, offering a template for other local authorities to follow.

The Nottingham Student Living Strategy (SLS) is a joint effort by Nottingham City Council and local universities, aiming to tackle housing needs, improve community relations, and promote sustainability. Through innovative engagement and planning, it aims to create inclusive, safe, and lively communities for both students and residents. Prioritising affordable, quality housing for students, it fosters neighbourliness and graduate retention. Grounded in planning policies, the SLS emphasises partnership and collective action for thriving, resilient communities. It ensures collaborative implementation and monitoring of policies, shaping Nottingham's future through a spatial approach involving various agencies.

Gedling Green in Nottinghamshire, presents 33No. new dwellings on a former brownfield site, which have been delivered as part of a Future Homes Pilot Scheme.Keepmoat Homes are thrilled to lead the way in developing homes that fully meet the Future Homes Standard ahead of it becoming mandatory in 2025. This has been made possible through our strong working relationships with our partners on this development, including Homes England, Gedling Borough Council and Birmingham City University.

Woodland Tree houses - Wildhive Callow Hall entered by Planning & Design Practice Ltd
Planning & Design Practice Ltd provided planning consultancy services to Wildhive, a renowned hospitality company known for its commitment to preserving historical properties and natural surroundings while offering unique and luxurious visitor experiences. The Group acquired Callow hall, a site featuring a historic main hall surrounded by ancient woodland. Their ambition was to maintain the property’s character, protect the natural environment, and create an exceptional visitor experience through the development of tree house accommodations as well as the restoration and extension of the main Hall, to the benefit of the local community and wider economy.

Bradwell Springs entered by Peak District National Park
Bradwell Springs is an excellent example of how an active and forward-thinking community utilised the Neighbourhood Plan process to strongly influence a redevelopment scheme in the Peak District National Park. The National Park worked with the community and the developer to redevelop the site to create high-quality housing and industrial space, that enhances the character of the village. The site provides 43 open market houses and 12 community owned affordable houses owned. The scheme prompted the establishment of the Bradwell Community Land Trust which has since acquired further housing, as well as undertaken other community projects.
