As Planners, are we really ‘working for the long-term common good and wellbeing of current and future generations’? Do we have the right to plan ‘as if climate change matters’? Taking the Oxford Salt Cross Garden Village as a case study this interactive webinar will explore together some of the ethical and practical challenges faced by our profession and by us as professionals.

We will consider our values and motivations as well as those embedded in contemporary economics and politics.

Finally, we will consider how we might better align our practice with our principles.

  • Greater understanding of current legislation
  • Gaining exposure to examples of best practice
  • Compare and share ethical and practical challenges faced by the profession
