

Event Description
The annual conference is a must attend event for independent planning consultants as it brings together top professionals from across the UK to discuss their views, ideas and opinions across a variety of topics related to the planning system. It will focus on how independent consultants can adapt and remain resilient in today’s current climate of rapid evolution and change.
Programme
Wednesday 7 May
Join us on a guided walking tour of Birmingham, offering delegates an opportunity to explore the city’s planning successes and challenges. The tour will be followed by an evening of networking and drinks at The Botanist, Gas Street Basin (12 Bridge St, Birmingham B1 2JR). Both the walking tour and drinks reception are free to attend for all conference ticket holders.
Thursday 8 May
RTPI President Helen Fadipe and Pete Lloyd Chair of ICN will open the conference. This will be followed by sessions on:
- Update from PINs
- Legal Update
- BNG with a special focus session on SME and self-build
- AI and Planning: benefits and impacts
- How to be an Independent Consultant: Highs and Challenges
Accessibility
• Train: The venue is a 2 minute walk away from Birmingham New Street Station; a 6 minute walk from Snow Hill Station or a 5 minute walk away from Moore Street Station.
• Car Parking: The venue does not have any onsite parking, they recommend Birmingham Snow Hill Station Car Park, postcode B3 2BJ and Birmingham New Street Station Car Park, postcode B2 4ND. Both car parks are around a 5 minute walk from the studio.
• Taxi: The venue is accessible by taxi
• The conference venue and drinks reception venue are both fully accessible, with step-free entry and accessible facilities available.
