Event Description

An understanding of how you use Social Media and the impacts on ethics practices. What and how you say on social media can bring your professionalism and the reputation of the profession into disrepute.  In this session, Ruth Richards, RTPI’s complaints investigator, identifies how some members have made inappropriate statements and been held accountable.   

Learning outcomes

  • Understand how members’ use of social media can lead to complaints and the requirements of the Code of Professional Conduct. 

  • Identify inappropriate statements and “likes”.

  • Ensure members can identify when and how to comment on social media whilst maintaining professional standards.
