Event Description
Planning committee is a key milestone in the development process. Whilst a scheme may be in a good place with officers, even having a recommendation to approve, have few objectors and a significant local benefits package, the committee can still represent a moment of jeopardy. Come along to learn how to position your scheme & prepare your client to de-risk this important moment and give your scheme the best chance of success.
The session will be led by Oliver Lewis of Kanda Consulting. Oliver has worked at Kanda for two years and achieved several consents across London. A former London Borough Councillor, serving in the cabinet for four years including responsibility for strategic planning and regeneration, Oliver brings a unique perspective to the subject.
Oliver will be joined by members of the Kanda team. Kanda is a multi-disciplinary communications agency that is passionate about regeneration and place-making. Kanda use their breadth and depth of experience with communities, developers and decision makers to create the very best places to live, work and visit. They operate exclusively in the regeneration, property and planning world. Since launching in 2017, Kanda has secured over 200 planning consents and developed a unique and bespoke consultation toolkit for the property sector underpinned by political knowledge and networks at all levels of local government.
The event is kindly hosted by Kanda and proudly sponsored by Jacobs, reflecting the collaborative spirit of leaders in the industry.
