Milan Bogunovic is the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG)’s Digital Planning Programme Director leading work to use digital to modernise England’s planning system. Milan is an experienced Senior Civil Servant, Product and Digital Leader and Agile Coach with 15 years’ experience in government and related fields. Milan has held roles at a number of government departments including the Ministry of Justice, Cabinet Office, HM Passport Office, the Home Office, the Department for International Trade and the Government Digital Service. Milan has served as a soldier in the British Army Reserves for over 16 years.

The impact of these collaborative programmes put London ahead of the rest of the country in both the availability of data, but also how it can be used to deliver data informed decisions.

Dan is an Urban Designer, Master Planner and Urban Planner with 20 years’ experience in private and public sector roles. He has worked in 12 countries on projects ranging in scale from detailed public realm designs up to new city developments and national master plans. He also sits on design review panels, charity and regeneration boards.
In recent years, he has up-skilled to become a digital-first designer and has created a variety of digital apps and software, including products to assist with assessing the compliance of buildings and spaces against part M accessibility building regulations. Most recently, he has been part of the design code pathfinder programme and completed area-wide and detailed design codes, including the Trafford Design Code. He managed the production of the master plan and detailed design code for Trafford Wharfside, a new waterside regeneration project to deliver over 5000 homes and new employment on an 85-hectare site adjacent to Manchester City Centre and Salford Quays. The complex urban site includes the Imperial War Museum North and the existing and new stadium for Manchester United at Old Trafford.
