RTPI London annual summit 2025

Event Description

RTPI London is excited to announce that the annual London summit is back. This time we will delve into the evolution of planning in London, exploring its historical context alongside contemporary challenges.

Transitioning from a "nice to do" to a "need to do," digital approaches to the planning system have, some might say, been placed center stage in recent planning reforms. However, have workload and budget pressures left LPAs with sufficient capacity to properly consider embedding this 'digital' approach within the planning process in the first place?

Join us at the summit to engage with live digital technology demonstrations and hear directly from MHCLG, leading LPAs, and digital tech organisations about their experiences in accelerating the adoption and deployment of digital planning in practice.

Learning outcomes

  • Learn how to use Digital Planning tools and how they can benefit daily practice.
  • Discover strategies for integrating digital tools to streamline workflows, reduce invalidation rates, and improve application quality.
  • Gain insights into how digital tools and platforms are reshaping planning processes, from application submissions to public engagement.
  • Gain a forward-looking perspective on the role of digital technologies in shaping smarter, more sustainable cities.
  • Connect with professionals, policymakers, and tech experts to foster collaboration and share best practices in digital planning.
  • Learn how digital platforms can facilitate effective, inclusive, and transparent community consultation and engagement.
