Sam has appeared as an expert planning witness at a number of high-profile minerals, energy and waste public inquiries. Sam has also provided a number of CPD events for the RTPI specifically in relation to mineral planning matters.

With nearly 20 years’ experience working on a diverse portfolio of projects including landscape planning, assessment of large-scale infrastructure and renewable energy projects, Adrian joined ONE in 2022 where he has continued to provide landscape and visual impact assessment services to clients across the development industry and with a particular focus on the clean energy sector. He is a Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute and currently serving as Chair of the North-East branch.

Caren is an Associate Director at SLR and part of the Energy Advisory team. She has over 15 years’ experience in technical research, product development, and management consulting across the energy sector.
She specialises in alternative fuels, having delivered technical and strategic projects in hydrogen, SAF, Ammonia and e-methanol across the full end-to-end value chain.
She has supported clients in strategic decision making, including unlocking government funding, assessing project techno-economics, identifying offtakers and building the business strategy.
Together with her colleagues in SLR she is supporting energy projects through their full lifecycle - from initial conception to operation.

Alison is a dual-qualified solicitor-advocate and barrister who specialises in all aspects of planning and environmental law. An experienced advocate, she regularly appears for developers of various stripes in planning and environmental permit appeals, High Court challenges and other courts and tribunals. She achieved a successful outcome for her client in the leading Supreme Court case on the interpretation of national Green Belt policy, Samuel Smith. She advises on the full range of planning and environmental law and policy issues, including climate change, environmental impact assessment and biodiversity, the development consent order process, protected landscapes and habitats, environmental permitting, contaminated land and end-of-waste.

He is an electrical engineer specialising in grid connections and has detailed insight into the grid connection process in GB. During his time at TNEI he has worked on projects throughout the grid connection process from pre-application feasibility and site searches to formal grid applications and connection offer reviews.

Daniel has a Global MBA from the University of Manchester where he received the Dean’s Award for excellent performance. He is a Geologist holding a BSc in Geological Sciences from the University of Leeds, and a MSc in Mining Geology from Camborne School Mines. He is also Fellow of the Geological Society. He has nearly 15 years' experience developing and operating mineral resource projects of varying scales in multiple global locations including East Africa, Eastern Europe, South America, and Western Europe. His broad experience in battery metals (Lithium, Fluorspar), precious metals (Au-Ag), industrial minerals (Barytes, Fluorspar), strategic metals (Tungsten), and polymetallic deposits (Au-Ag-Pb-Zn predominantly) gives him a diverse range of skills applicable to exploration, operational (underground and open pit), and distressed projects. Latterly, Daniel has held senior technical roles leading & managing Geology, Metallurgy, Mining Engineering, Surveying, and other technical disciplines on an operating UK underground mine, and on a European strategic metal project. He specialises in complex projects that require strategic thinking to unlock value and developing business plans to deliver that value. For Weardale Lithium, Daniel oversees all technical work programs and works closely with the board to develop strategy.

Dave has enjoyed over 20 years of working in the waste and resource sector as a business owner, business advisor, and consultant. He's delivered projects in the United Kingdom, Australia and Papua New Guinea providing real benefits to clients, resource efficiency, and the environment.
With an eye for opportunity and thinking outside the norm, Dave provides practical solutions to modern resource management. He's specifically interested in supporting the development of an economy that uses less, achieves more, is equitable, and provides circularity in resource use. Having owned and operated a circular economy business for 10 years, Dave provides a clear understanding of the commercial reality in decision making. He's led the creation of waste management strategies of East Gippsland Shire Council (Australis). Ok Tedi Mine (Papua New Guinea), and was the woodland business advisor for the National Forest Company (UK).
