Steven is a Director at ELG Planning in Darlington. He graduated from Northumbria University with first class honours in geography and subsequently completed an MSc in Town Planning at Newcastle University. He achieved corporate membership of the RTPI in July 2011.
Since joining ELG Planning in July 2007, Steven has been involved in the delivery of a wide variety of projects including major residential, education, health, hotel, student and commercial developments across the country. His particular specialism is residential development, and he continues to act for a variety of national house builders, landowners and developers to promote sites through the planning process from Local Plan promotion through to planning applications, appeals and post planning advice.

Neil Is an award-winning Conservation and Design Architect and Director of Howarth Litchfield Architects . He has considerable experience of sustainable design technology and its incorporation into Architectural projects, both modern and historic. He holds additional qualifications as a Conservation Architect, Project Manager and Client Designer Advisor. His strengths lie across many sectors including Conservation, Educational, Health, Commercial, Industrial and one-off houses – both listed and modern.
Having worked in Britain and abroad, Neil joined HL in 1991, became a Director in 2006 and has now over 30 years of experience as an Architect. His spare time is taken up with Artwork and is well known for regular LinkedIn sketches and watercolours. His outside interests are varied including cycling, swimming, travel, fine wine and collecting designer chairs.
Neil writes regularly for several national and regional publications on Architectural subjects and sustainability matters.

Lloyd has many years of experience in the private sector and spent several years leading projects for a range of retail, mixed-use, leisure and hospitality, residential, and commercial clients across England and Wales.

In 2023, John's expertise was recognised nationally when he was invited to join the board of Modeshift, a leading organisation dedicated to promoting sustainable transport and travel planning in the UK. In this capacity, John plays a pivotal role in crafting guidance and advice that supports Local Authorities in their efforts to embrace sustainable transportation initiatives.
Beyond his professional life, John embraces the role of "Dad taxi," dedicating his time to ferrying his children to their various activities.

Fiona is a Chartered Environmentalist with over 18 years of career experience providing environmental management on major infrastructure development projects.
As a Technical Lead, Fiona provides key interface between design teams and environmental scientists, as well as clients and stakeholders. She also provides strategic environmental guidance and engagement across infrastructure service lines. Fiona has adapted and developed environmental appraisal and comparison tools to enable a data driven environmental led design approach to inform project feasibility and business case evaluations. Fiona is responsible for the management and coordination of multidisciplinary environmental deliverables. She also completes technical peer reviews and provides professional advisory services to planning authorities and statutory bodies to realise and promote effective environmental solutions.

Tessa joined Yorkshire-based Harmony Energy in March 2023 as their Planning Manager where she is responsible for managing utility scale battery energy storage schemes and solar farms through the planning system.
