This event welcomes all RTPI members and non members to attend. You do not need to be a Young Planner to join this event.
Organised by Dorset Young Planners, this CPD and social will not only give you the opportunity to meet RTPI President Lindsey Richards as part of her visit to the area, but also discuss the subject of planning consultations and engagement.
Speakers will share their top tips for effective community and stakeholder engagement through the planning process, including consulting for planning applications and local plans. There will also be discussion regarding how to get more women and girls involved through engagement.

- Jennie Savage, public artist, urbanist and social researcher specialising in engaging communities
- Frances Summers, Senior Planning Officer at BCP Council and part-time lecturer at Bournemouth University
Following the discussion there will be chance to network with the speakers and President. Light snacks and refreshments will be provided.
This event will be hosted in the BCP Council offices, which are walkable from bus routes or the train station. The closest car parks are Richmond Hill and The Avenue.
