Event Description

Nudge Community builders has kindly offered to host a site visit of The Millennium Building & C103 for both RICS Matrics Devon and RTPI Devon, Cornwall and Somerset Young Planners.

Built in 1931 The Millenium Complex is a former cinema, roller disco and nightclub. Following the nightclub closure in 2004, it was purchased by various developers and was added to Historic England's at-risk register. Nudge and Eat Work Art purchased the building in 2020. A £4 million redevelopment commenced with plans to provide business units for small manufacturers and a 1,500-capacity music venue.

Nudge Community Builders is a Plymouth-based Community Benefit Society that aims to build a strong local community and economy. Set up in 2017 Nudge community builders take pride in restoring disused, privately owned landmark buildings for the benefit of the local community"
