This year the RTPI published its research findings into Strategic Planning in England. The report showed widespread support for planning reforms to change the fragmented nature of the current planning system. Key findings show planning professionals believe a more joined up long-term approach will lead to improved outcomes including a more effective, innovative and clear planning process.

This will ultimately lead to improved public spaces, high-quality affordable homes and better public infrastructure.

How will we achieve this? In this webinar researchers and experts will discuss the key findings of the report and how these changes could be put in place, leading to better planning outcomes for all.

Speakers include;

  • Hannah Hickman, Associate Professor in Planning Practice, UWE
  • Richard Wood, Richard Wood Associates, Director
  • Dr Maya Singer Hobbs, Senior Research Fellow, IPPR
  • Lyndsey Darwin, Principal Spatial Planning Officer, Liverpool City Region
