Timothy Crawshaw MA MRTPI FRSA is an International Planning and Development Consultant in the areas of urban design, planning, green infrastructure, energy efficiency and sustainable transport. With experience in Eastern Europe, Africa and the Middle East, alongside an expanding UK practice, he has a specific interest in the role of the nature based approaches to addressing the climate emergency, alongside improving health and wellbeing outcomes and tackling inequality.
Timothy is an experienced lecturer, trainer and facilitator with a passion for community development, and he continues to champion the role of planning as a key part of the solution to the challenges of our times. Timothy is currently the Chair of the Tees Valley Nature Partnership and Chair of the Historic Towns and Villages Forum.

Described as a 'social artist' she recognises the need for a whole system approach to the biodiversity and climate crisis. Her influence reaches out across boundaries to leaders in government, academia, arts and culture.
Rachel has joined the Planning Advisory Service - 'PAS' within the Local Government Association. She is leading on the delivery of the Protected Sites Strategies project for Natural England and is part of a team supporting the government’s emerging nature recovery reform. Taking her most recent experience leading the Tees Valley Nature Partnership she will support local authorities to be central to the formal collaborative arrangements that address pressures on our most highly protected areas for nature in England (including Marine Protected Sites).
Prior to this Rachel headed up one of the most successful Local Nature Partnerships (LNPs) in the country .In 2022 who were proud to be the hosts for the first National Nature Recovery Network Partnership conference convened by Natural England.
Her approach is built on 25 years’ experience across public, third sector and also freelance.
Recent appointment outside the sector include consortium (board) member of the South Tees £3M Borderlands art and culture programme part of the Arts Council Creative People & Places national programme which aims to increase participation in areas that currently have the least engage communities with arts and culture. Ambassador and mentor for 'You've Got This' Sport England Local Delivery pilot part of a national programme targeting areas with the lowest levels of physical activity.
