RTPI Scotland has submitted evidence to the Environment, Climate Change and Land Reform Committee on Regional Marine Plans. The evidence raised concerns that the established of Marine Planning Partnerships has not been sufficient across the country. Concerns were also cited that since the Marine (Scotland) Act 2010, no statutory Regional Marine Plans have been adopted in Scotland. RTPI Scotland believes marine planning and land use planning at the national level should be better aligned to allow for a coherent cross over between both disciplines which are so
thoroughly interlinked and interdependent.
