RTPI Scotland has submitted evidence to the Local Government and Communities Committee on the long-term financial sustainability of local government. The responses acknowledges a number of challenges from the drive to zero carbon, reducing health inequalities, achieving inclusive growth and creating a fairer Scotland. Good planning which looks beyond the immediate situation to the medium and long term can provide the context for allocating local government resources.
