The Sub-Committees and Standing Committees of the Board report into the Board of Trustees. They play a vital role in supporting the Board's decision-making and in enabling the RTPI to deliver the vision and mission set out in our 2020-2030 Corporate Strategy.
Sub-Committees of the Board
The Board’s Sub Committees have delegated responsibilities from the Board in particular areas. They support the governance of the RTPI by providing additional scrutiny, discussion and assurance around key decisions.
Each Sub Committee is chaired by a Trustee. Other members of the Sub-Committee include further Trustees or co-opted members who have been appointed to provide specific expertise or knowledge to that committee.

Standing Committees of the Board
The Board has five Standing Committees which lead various strands of work under the RTPI’s corporate strategy.
Either the Chair or Vice Chair of the Standing Committee will be a Trustee appointed to the position by the Board. Other members of the Standing Committees are intended to reflect the diversity of the RTPI’s members. At least five members of each Standing Committee will also be members of the General Assembly.
