Claire Bridges MRTPI
Claire brings former local government, central government and private consultancy knowledge, experience and skills to the RTPI in the West Midlands region. She has been closely involved with Local Enterprise Partnerships, regionally and nationally, during the last six years focusing on the development and delivery of the Government's Growth Programme, EU Funding Programmes and strategic initiatives. Claire has focused on specific economic development and planning initiatives with a wide range of public, private and third sector partners for both the Greater Birmingham and Solihull LEP and Worcestershire LEP as well as the emerging Midlands Engine Strategy.
Claire has a long-standing commitment to combine the best of professional practice and academia together. She was the RTPI Practitioner on the Birmingham City University Partnership Board for six years and then became the current Partnership Board Member Chair in 2016. Claire also became the RTPI Practitioner on the University of Reading Partnership Board in 2018. In 2017, she was appointed Vice Chair of the RTPI's national Partnership Accreditation Panel which brings all Partnership Boards together to tackle UK practice-academic issues and solutions.
