Engagement - How well is the public consultation process working?

Around 40 delegates attended an afternoon seminar at Seamus Heaney Homeplace, Magherafelt on Engagement - How well is the public consultation process working.

It is now just over two years ince the transition of planning powers to local government and the requirement to undertake Pre-Application Community Consultation(PACC) on major or regionally significant planning applications was introduced.

This half day event, run in partnership with The Consultation Institute and its local partner TCI Engagement, considered how the legislative requirements are helping to shape places with the help of the local community and other stakeholders.  The event also looked at best practice from across the water, and how those lessons can contribute to improving the planning process and standards.
