RTPI Cymru held a number of activities during 2014 to mark the RTPI's Centenary.

Circumnavigate Wales

During 2014 RTPI Cymru members walked, cycled and ran around Wales, using the Wales Coast Path and Offas Dyke Path to collectively cover the just over 1,000 miles to join in the journey to discover a nation.

The History of Planning in Wales

Two members lead this fascinating project which compiled a series of articles on the history of planning in Wales. The articles are available to read here.

North Wales Chapter Centenary Travel Award

With funds raised by the former North Wales Planning Group, Ian Stevens, a young planner from North Wales was sponsored to attend the APA's conference in Atlanta in 2014.

Mature Planned Communities - Celebrating Cwmbran

RTPI Cymru worked with Torfaen County Borough Council on a conference to celebrate Cwmbran – Wales' only (formal modern) New Town, as part of a wider RTPI celebration of planned communities.
