Call for Volunteers - RTPI educational activities

Partnership and Accreditation Board members

Would you like to help shape the educational standards of planning education by contributing to the Institute's work with accredited Planning Schools? We are recruiting for RTPI Dialogue Members for Accreditation Boards, and for Chairs and Representatives on Partnership and Accreditation Boards. We currently accredit more than 100 planning degrees at universities in the UK, Ireland and overseas. We need to build up a pool of members with relevant interest and experience for these RTPI appointments.

The Institute appoints a Dialogue Member to guide universities through the initial process of getting a course accredited. An Accreditation Board, with a RTPI-appointed Chair and Representative plus the Dialogue Member, meets once the university has made a formal request for accreditation. When the university has one or more accredited courses, then a Partnership Board is set up with a RTPI-appointed Chair and Representative.

To find out more, please read the role specification below. If you would like to apply, please email the application form, together with your RTPI membership number and your current job, to education@rtpi.org.uk.

The role specification and application form are online and the deadline for all applications is 31st July 2017 at 9am.
