The 2017 North West Young Planners - Meet the Committee

Kim2Name: Kim Cooper

-Junior Vice-Chair, RTPI North West Regional Management Board
-Education and Careers Task Group Lead, RTPI North West Regional Activities Committee
-Member of the RTPI General Assembly    
-Vice-Chair, RTPI North West Young Planners

Conference Role: Conference Coordinator. Kim has overall responsibility for the delivery of the Conference. She is the key link between the committee and the RTPI team in London and will be the person very much in need of a drink when the conference finishes!

What I'm most looking forward to for the Young Planners' Conference 2017: I can't wait to see everything come together. The months of hard work, planning, meetings and coordination all coming to fruition with delegates hopefully enjoying everything we've done.

Hobbies: Kim is a qualified vibe-cycle instructor (it's similar to spinning but takes place in a dark room with disco lights and dance music) and teaches regularly.

What I'm most looking forward to for the Young Planners' Conference 2017: Learning from a range of case studies and speakers and bringing back what I learnt into my work….plus the drinks reception!

Hobbies: Collecting original Beatles vinyl, renovating my new house, marathon training and LEGO!!

What I'm most looking forward to for the Young Planners' Conference 2017: Listening to a variety of entertaining and informative speakers and meeting lots of Young Planners!

What I'm most looking forward to for the Young Planners' Conference 2017: I look forward to being out and about around Manchester and Liverpool on the study tours, plus this year will be my first time attending the Young Planners' Conference so I'm generally excited for everything!

Hobbies: I enjoy language learning, Pilates and swimming.

What I'm most looking forward to for the Young Planners' Conference 2017: Showcasing some of the fantastic regeneration projects happening in the North West region. I'm also looking forward to some provocative talks and workshops which can help us understand and challenge why we're still creating unhealthy, mediocre places.
