Since its introduction in the Localism Act, contrary to some thinking at the time, Neighbourhood Planning has now became an established part of the planning system. Well over 230 neighbourhood plans are in place and the Housing and Planning Act 2016 has sought to try and streamline the process to ensure more plans go through to formal adoption. They are clearly here to stay and seemingly growing in significance. This seminar will build on earlier ones on the topic to explicitly explore the West Midland experience of neighbourhood planning using actual examples of neighbourhood plans to assess what the opportunities and challenges are.
This is a morning Seminar followed by lunch. View the programme
