Programme Description

Principles and application in practice – From strategy to detailed delivery. A practice based review of current major issues from inclusivity, through health and wellbeing issues to sustainability with a focus on response to local character and on the guiding and delivery of major change in challenging markets.

In the morning, we will hear from a wide range of speakers, with the afternoon taking in a walk and talk tour of Parkgate corridor, Ring Road, Skearne and Riverside Park, Town Centre, Victoria Road and Banktop Station.  This will be followed by a design workshop with an option to visit to the Hippodrome (RTPI Planning Excellence Awards finalist).

Over lunch, there will also be discussion/request for your feedback please regarding 2018 RTPI Consultation on the 2019/21 Research Focus (Policy, Practice and Research Department).  View paper
