Join us for our Annual Spring Conference
At this year’s Spring Conference, we will be taking a look at the role of strategic planning and how this can support the economic ambitions of Wales’ ‘city regions’. We will hear from a range of excellent speakers from across Wales, and look both at local proposals, along with national projects and proposals. There will be plenty of opportunities for questions and discussion during the programme. Speakers are:
The Planning System approach to strategic planning in Wales: Neil Hemington, Chief Planner, Welsh Government
Growth Vision for the North Wales Economy: Colin Everett, Chief Executive, Flintshire County Council
The Western View of Economic Ambitions: Iwan Trefor Jones, Corporate Director, Cyngor Gwynedd Council
Planning for Infrastructure: The need to plan for infrastructure with other developments. Richard Blyth, Head of Policy and Research, RTPI
The Role of Infrastructure for the North Wales Economy: Rebecca Maxwell, Denbighshire County Council
The Private Sector Need from Strategic Planning: Ashley Rogers, North Wales Business Council
Map for Wales – Integrating Policy
Brian Webb, Cardiff University
